Dr. Suzana Gjino
Dr. Gjino loves that her job is different every day, and it always involves helping people, whether she is getting a patient out of pain or improving their smile. She comes to us all the way from Korca, Albania, and she’s eager to welcome you and your loved ones into our practice. To start getting to know her ahead of your first visit, be sure to keep reading!
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Gjino’s aunt is a dentist, so she grew up watching her take care of people’s teeth. Her aunt found great happiness and took a lot of pride in her work, and this was a big influence on Dr. Gjino. She eventually decided to follow in her footsteps, and she hasn’t looked back since!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After graduating from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Dr. Gjino enrolled in and eventually earned her doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Over the years, she has donated her time and skills to many organizations, including offering free dental care to under-served communities and doing dental screenings at schools. She also takes several hours of continuing education each year through the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and DentalTown.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When not at the office, Dr. Gjino likes to relax by taking walks with her husband and their French bulldog. She also enjoys traveling, exploring different cities, and baking. In addition to speaking English and Albanian, she is also fluent in Spanish and Italian.
